DJ Mz Chocolate is Tijuana, a Chicago-raised, Orlando-based DJ with a love for music, celebration, and the kind of energy that makes a room come alive.
What started as a passion grew into a profession. Music has always been part of her life, but DJing gave her a way to bring people together, move a room, and create the kind of moments guests keep talking about after the night is over.
Today she brings that mix of music, movement, and personality to weddings, private events, lounges, community celebrations, and rooms that need someone who knows how to keep the night moving.
Where It All Started
The music came first. Chicago gave it a home.
This is my dad in Chicago, and in a lot of ways, this is where it all started.
Before I ever had a booth of my own, music was already part of my family. Records were playing, people were gathering, and I was seeing what the right song could do to a room.
Chicago shaped the sound around me. House, soul, R&B, hip-hop, stepping culture, family parties, and the songs that make everybody look at each other like, “You remember this one?” That influence still shows up every time I play.
It also helped shape the world around the DJ Mz Chocolate name. The brand pulls from warmth, richness, personality, and Chicago’s candy-making history without ever trying to look like a candy company. It is a DJ brand first, with flavor and roots built into it.
